it's funny, i hate python but love installing it on things. here's python running on my phone

yeah termux exists but i don't want to be stuck with a chroot that google desperately wants to break

i demand bare metal debian!

ok so maybe i also want to be able to plug in a mouse, keyboard, and monitor to my phone...

so actually what i want isn't a phone so much as an arm netbook/transformer with the ability to send and receive phone calls and sms...

@onfy I mean that's all stuff that Android already supports

@noiob which afaik is arbitrarily blocked at the hardware level/just not possible in some cases because of ports (old phones just has micro USB...)

@noiob afaik my phone doesn't support hdmi or dp which sucks since that'd be convenient for watching videos

@noiob i think galaxy s5 supports mhl which might be useful since its screen is wonky but that requires a special specific cable and i suspect my tv doesn't support it

@onfy your phone doesn't but all Pixels from the 8 up finally have it unlocked, and AOSP has (beta) desktop support now afaik. Samsung Dex was already rebuilt on top of it instead of being its own thing

@noiob wait, so does it work on graphene or is it locked in hw? no motivation to fafo...

8 was too expensive...
