how difficult is it to switch from linux to macbook? ive been using some linux for 15 years (arch&ubuntu) and almost 10 with i3. did anyone else here make that switch before? is the battery life really that much better than with the more high end thinkpads?
@miriamino the battery life really is great with the new ARM chips. If you don't like it at all, you can use Linux on them as well, but the underlying unix stuff should feel familiar, and homebrew is a very nice package manager

@miriamino you won't be able to install sth like i3 but there's helper programs that let you do stuff like tile windows with keyboard shortcuts (I use Rectangle, pictured)
