AI has finally reached me in my workplace
we had a local ChatGPT instance setup to be HIPAA compliant a while ago but soon I'm gonna get assigned AI training to complete, this one of my personal 9/11s 
@avalondrei do you actually have GPUs in the basement or is it a "local" instance on their servers
@avalondrei doesn't look like OpenAI offer local hostjng, the only thing I can find is special workspaces (on their servers) where they pinky promise not to retain information
@noiob dunno then, if thats the case then its likely thats how theyre doin it?
im not high up or paid enough to manage or care about how theyre doing that
plus i dont use it in the first place for many reasons, one of which being "keep in mind we can see what youre using the CGPT instance for! we can see what youre talking about if we need to!" warning thats on there lmao
@noiob no clue on the actual setup. enough people were asking about ChatGPT early on and higher up IT were like well we deal with patient data so dont use the main one and give us time to get an instance thats HIPAA compliant
checking some of our details on it, it seems like its hosted locally? as its a joint operation with our main IT and an internal digital innovation team
