I know prescription lenses are personalised, but I really feel the price should be coming down, but the prices have seemed to be fairly locked in for ages.
just feels (having no knowledge) making them would be essentially CNC params, pop in machine to check optics, pop into frames, ship.
@LottieVixen I suspect there's a bunch of post-processing and coatings and stuff. Look at lenses for VR headsets, they still cost a good amount of money
@LottieVixen I mean that's probably mostly bc a lot can go wrong with measuring the parameters and sometimes glasses just don't work for me. My mom spent ages complaining about her glasses until someone figured out they needed to be tilted a bit and obvs she didn't have to pay on top for that
@LottieVixen I mean they'd bundle in the cost either way it's just so you know you can come back for free if it doesn't work for you
@noiob good point.. I guess thats all bundled in, recoop some cost from potential visits and fixes.
