possibly helpful post about getting over bug phobia (only pics of fairly inoffensive bugs, butterflies and beetles)

A Caveat

@daylight I think this person is using a vvvvvvv.loose definition of "phobia", so warning to anyone anyone who enters looking for actual psych advice

I've had phobias of various microfauna, (I still do of certain ones).

From the tone & presentation this lady ain't talking about that;- she's using "phobia" to mean "makes me feel kinda uncomfortable cuz social conditioning and/or not understanding a thing"

A Caveat

@pastelbat thats likely my fault for presenting it as such weh

@daylight I'm not cross, fwiw! I just wanted to warn ppl & clarify to you, without accidentally doing "You did a baddddd" social media guilt-trip connotations to you.

My own bug phobias are p.specific categories- it didn't trigger me, I'm fine. I'm also like, happy to answer any q's on this stuff via DM or Discord if that'd help.

[CW I should've added to first reply: there's a "large, spiky, bird-poo-camo catterpillar w/ big visible head & mandibles" image at the start of the article]

@pastelbat oh i figured you werent upset, and i appreciate the clarification
