[NHS, Therapy, - + !?]
Holy hell
I'm trying, really, really hard to read up on the local NHS's uh, favourite therapy, without immediately slipping into snark mode, as I tend to quite easily.
Around here this brand is a super common recommendation from NHS psychs. It's got some serious funding pull (local bloke, so no mystery).
But.. Outside of the immediate region, I just get blank looks from people when I ask about it. So. Why not see for myself?
I was a fool. I have regrets.
There's only so much snark one bat can contain, we're in full-on "Pepsi Gravitational Field" country.
And if you think that's hyperbole then buckle the heck in, friendo, cuz it's 8:30am and I got nothing better to do

@pastelbat for context each time I mention I have anxiety ppl have been determined to tell me abt how ‘cavemen’* reacted to stressful situations. And how it’s unsuitable for modern life.
As if I don’t know how anxiety works already.

Like. Someone wrote this and made those graphic design choices.
It’s...like. Weird flat earther language and stuff is the nearest comparason for tone I’ve got.

So, Evolutionary Psychology: Still about as firmly grounded in actual science as you'd expect.
