Realising we haven't really added much to our music library since 2016
Throw me a good album, friendos
I will listen to it
@pastelbat Any genre preferences? I've been digging the heck out of the As Seas Exhale post-rock albums I got a bit ago - e.g. https://asseasexhale.bandcamp.com/album/recovery but the full discography is good - and if you like pop music I really dig Vienna Teng's "Aims" - https://viennateng.bandcamp.com/album/aims
@packbat @USBloveDog Thanks, I'll give them a listen!
I have some leanings generally genre-wise; trip hop, trap, EDM generally, new wave, The Knife/Fever Ray/Fuck Buttons kinda thing..
But I am vmuch open to suggestions outside those bounds too
I've been ridiculously out of touch the past few years media-wise (since dropping off Twitter, I think), so it was just generally "what's good stuff, cuz I've probably missed it"
(also boosts are welcome, yes/thanks!)
Ever gave Mike Oldfield's Amarok a listen? It's from 1991 or '92 and an hour of continually-changing music. It makes sense as a coherent whole on the 3rd or 4th listen.
@pastelbat (also, boosts?)
@pastelbat Any genre or popularity preferences?
@pastelbat hmm.
I rather like a bit of Bjork myself?
As for albums, my memory isn’t forthcoming on the names of specific ones without checking our ipod
@pastelbat I may've mentioned some of these before, but I'm a big fan of Tale to Be Told, Vol.2, from The Mechanisms, tho they're much more narrative than most songs I think?
Children of the Stars by the Orion Experience also has several good songs imo! (They're not as wish-washy as they sound I swear >_> )
Death at My Door by The Creepshow is also a very good example of uh, what I would describe as "halloween rock" for lack of a more apt descriptor =V
@pastelbat get some AJJ
