Properly reading more Foucault for the first time in like a decade is good.

His stuff's dense and academic but he has a very off-the-cuff sense of humour that makes the end result a lot less dry than it could be.

It holds up well, and still feels very relevant.

I'll probably reread Discipline & Punish and Birth of the Clinic at some point, which are both vgood (both are better introduction points to his core ideas) but they're "Space Opera Doorstop Book" kinda length compared with History of Sexuality, so more of a commitment in terms of ability to invest focus & reading time

I've settled into a pattern of using audiobooks for fiction & visual reading for nonfiction

I think cuz the I generally use former for more relaxation or while doing something with my hands, whereas nonfiction stuff tends to require more undivided attention

Not always, but generally?

I still have The Power Broker audiobook to finish, but.. I think I made it through 10 or 16hrs, and after that much I *really* needed to wash the taste of grubby 20th century US politics out of my head
