sincerely considering pawning off my android phone and getting an iphone ama

i just feel alienated by my recent phone change. the manufacturer changed every bit of android that i took for granted and either made it functionally worse, put an ad in it, or both

@codl considered rooting? ive been running rooted on android for a while and it's rly easy to crack all the shit bloat they put onboard with stuff like /d/gapps and AdAway from F-Droid

@pearshapes i have, also considered flashing a different image, but they locked it all down and i have to make a developer account, use a special windows application and wait 24 hours to unlock it. i have not been able to make the application work

@codl thats total horseass.. you cant just boot to download mode and flash the recovery, then boot to recovery?

@pearshapes not as far as know! they say they put in a special unlocking dance to stop resellers from flashing malicious roms en masse
