little heavy pop but i feel like people tend towards minimising certain things through bringing up how bad they have it

and i mean i get it, and sometimes that can be fantastic - talking to someone and relating your experiences can really help, especially for neurodivergent folk! - but i'm talking explicitly about the use of such things as a minimiser and an invalidator

i feel like we should acknowledge that suffering is universal and that we can lighten the load through kindness and empathy
