So, computer desk recs? Minimum 21 inch depth, 55 inch width working space.

@shaderphantom IKEA Linmon with whatever legs you wanna put on there

@shaderphantom oh, also a 78 inch one but that's probably overdoing it

@noiob actually, I found the 78 inch one, the site's filters don't identify the width of the Linnmons correctly.

already got a Linnmon corner desk but there's basically no room. BUT! I have 5 legs for this. What about the Alex drawers? Are they worth it?

@shaderphantom they're nice, I have them next to the desk with my computer on top. Lots of storage space.

the rails are not super sturdy, at least one of them is scratching a bit after ~7 years, though it doesn't affect use much

@noiob one more question: these are made of partial particle board and partial honeycomb paper structure. Is there a safe way to secure a slide-out keyboard tray?

@shaderphantom I haven't tried screwing into it, but there's a cable organizer that screws into it, so I assume it's theoretically possible.

As an alternative that'll definitely work, I have a wooden stand under my monitor that I can slide my keyboard under easily, and it has a phone stand and stuff

@noiob oh this is so i can lower the keyboard relative to my screen, not get it out of the way. I use a clamp mount for my monitors that lets me push stuff under them if I need to make room, but the main issue is just the desk height with the non-adjustable legs is a bit high and far for my elbows
