Elite Dangerous, black hole

Found one all by myself!

also got probably too close.

That's not an accretion disk, it's gravitational lensing on some background nebulae

Someday I should fly out to Maia, rent a Sidewinder, and see what it's like to dive in.

Elite Dangerous, black hole

@Efi I *think* so but I'm not certain and haven't tried yet :)

@starkatt you have me curious - is this a game where you can accidentally run into suns/black holes?

Elite Dangerous, black hole

@KoBunny They're uncommon and small enough you need to deliberately fly towards them in-system. They do definitely show up, though. I've visited two.

@KoBunny Suns are easier to fly into accidentally, if you don't throttle back when approaching them. Fly too close and you get forced-dropped out of cruise, usually taking a bunch of heat damage.
