i've mentioned this before (probably on my forum or website) but i feel like social media is really good at making us feel like we're missing everything, largely because we are
the only real way to see if someone in particular has updated is to either put them on their own list or manually check their profile, which is not really fun in any way

@Xkeeper something that especially doesn't help is how the environment makes it feel narcissistic to self-boost
where if there's something you wish had more visibility, it almost feels like a faux pas to make that happen
when things are so transient, if someone who might be interested just so happens to not be online for that hour or so, they might miss it forever

@thingywott even then you have to get lucky and hope someone sees it the second time /and/ has boost visibility on /and/ etc. it's just a mess
