having big troubles trying to focus right now because i have the fucking league of legends pop/stars song stuck in my head jkfghdfgjl
it's my fav song to play on beat saber rn so i've been hearing it multiple times every day for the past week or so
@tom i like how the expert+ blocks sync up in the bridge, it's so satisfying!

@tom oh yeah, it's very good! beat saber has some real bangers
i think my favorite right now is rum and bass--it feels amazing!
@tom i kind of only really did the campaign as a break from the lololouch brick walls i kept failing to tackle
but yeah, i found rum and bass mostly satisfying on expert+. the way everything syncs up is really, *really* fun imo
i also like heavy beats, so, i'm kinda biased towards liking things like that and breezer
@thingywott the song im currently trying to master on expert is Angel Voices but there's one part towards the end that keeps killing me
@tom oh yeah, and it's *so* far into the song too. angel voices is basically a brick wall in terms of difficulty compared to the other expert songs
good thing it's cool sounding though! and the end is actually pretty badass when you get it, so it's really satisfying

the brick wall part is why I even started playing pop/stars tbh, that also took me a couple of days but eventually getting it was the fucking best

@tom they are brutal, and some of them are drastically different than lower levels of the song
when you first start, it will be pretty common to fail within the first 5 seconds--but they are really satisfying, especially for the songs that really flow in that difficulty
i think you might like how pop stars flows when you get it though!

a lot of people thought that was almost unfair in terms of difficulty
but when it was added officially, most of the official expert+ songs were significantly harder than the fanmade ones

@thingywott the thing that causes me to fail far too often are like buildups and things like that, they should be pretty simple in theory but since they're fast, all it takes to fail is getting out of sync with one hand or a tracking error or something
@tom oh yeah, when you miss one block in a stream, it basically just transforms into a pain train
my biggest weakness is when i let things get into my head, like if i'm doing well, i get nervous and fix that
