if your password system requires you to use a specific subset of characters then it is, for no reason, not as secure as it could be
if it requires you to use a specific subset of characters *because of backend reasons* then that's even worse
@typhlosion I am reminded of the time the Chase website that wouldn't let me use GPHP8E^Y_$*klfblrst9g4 as a password because it contains the letter "G" twice and therefore is clearly less secure than a good strong password like "P4s$w0rd."
