now i just need a microsd card bigger than (checks) 32gb. y'know, to hold all the legitimate homebrew software
@typhlosion i believe the gold standard for ds flashcarts is the supercard 2, unless there's something better out now (unlikely)

@typhlosion you can stick an FTP server on the 3DS and transfer games files that way, fwiw
not familiar with the modern DS flashcart scene, but I dunno if it's as lively as others these days
@Skirmisher @typhlosion opened the thread to plug FTPD and just using something like FileZilla (windows/linux) or WinSCP (windows).
You can use Twilight Menu to launch a DSi interface and set it up to read DS roms from the SD card as well, no cart needed.
@sugar @Skirmisher as ive said elsewhere, it would be nice to have a flashcart that can work with my old red phat ds. for the 3ds, it would mostly just be for the sake of having an sd port i don't have to unscrew the backplate to access
@typhlosion is there a fan-made typhlosion theme? i want it now

@Hearth there are a handful! https://themeplaza.art/?category=themes&query=typhlosion&sort=newest
@typhlosion Recently upgraded mine to 128gb after putting a 256gb in the Switch
@typhlosion I highly recommend that you under NO CIRCUMSTANCES install hShop to download unauthorised copies of games Nintendo doesn't sell you anymore directly to your 3DS or the SD card. ![]()
@Kurt that sounds scandalous, why would i ever do something like that. it's not like i'm the kind of person who would buy a flashcart to play Acquired games on (checks inventory) their NES, SNES, gameboy, gameboy advance, ...
ancillary benefit of hacking your 3ds: if you have a new 3ds xl, when's the last time you cleaned under the rear cover (where the microsd slot and battery pack are)? i bet some grime got into the seam between the rear cover and the console body, get in there. a clean console is a happy console
