i used to have scripting privileges on an obscure little MOO that had a... loose notion of object containment, to say the least. you could make a pair of objects teleport a user between one and the other, and if you used one while someone was carrying the other, you could *enter* another user's, or even your own, inventory and interact with the contents thereof as though they were objects in a room.
i wonder if i could find that MOO again
