THey just extended my contract until October 26th instead of September 26th, so I can apply for this other job they want to basically give me but technically have to have an open search for
which means instead of "you get two weeks off in between" it's now "you can get a week off I guess but only because you said you made plans already"
idk I'm supposed to be happy about this?

Like they gave me a month more of my non-benefited temporary job specifically so I could not have time off? Ugh
The best is that means I now ONLY have time for whatever my parents wanted to do with me on my time off because I have half the time I was going to get
I guess I get ~600 more dollars tho
It's just so weird to me that literally everyone I work with, who all get paid more than I do, don't seem to have any understanding that I'd rather have a little more time off after a year, even if it's not paid? Like they all are like 'very sorry' that I have to take a week off because my temporary position ends? That's exactly what I signed up for... and the idea that I am likely to have another job when I come back from that is more than I expected.

very important person just came in and was like "Sorry for the confusion, are you at least getting to do something?" And I'm just like "Yeah, I think?" because I don't know if I'm getting time off or not still.
