Roommate Woes

Grrrr... when I put away 6 fucking cups of stirfry and 2 cups of rice and you ask to have some.. and I say "Yes but please leave me enough to take to work for lunch tomorrow."

DON'T FUCKING EAT ALL TWO CUPS OF RICE AND 5 AND A HALF CUPS OF THE STIR FRY THAT I MADE FOR MYSELF AND SHARED WITH YOU!

THAT IS NOT FUCKING FUCKING COOL! AT MORE OF MY GODS DAMN STIR-FRY THAN I DID AND DIDN'T HELP ME MAKE IT OR CONTRIBUTE AT ALL!

Also holy fucks... how.. I was stuffed after half a cup of rice and a cup and half of stir fry for dinner... how the fuck did you eat all of it?

Oh right.. this person eats a single 32" pizza in a sitting as a "meal".

Grrrr... I'm just pissed and venting because they are asleep and I need to get to work so I can't talk to them about this.

re: Roommate Woes

I guess I should have fucking made them a bowl or something myself and set their portions or something.. I don't fucking know...

re: Roommate Woes

@wobblewuffess It sounds like this is someone who lacks an internal “stop eating” signal, and doesn’t have the habit of choosing appropriate portion sizes; “eat until it is gone” is not an uncommon heuristic.

That’s going to make a shared fridge difficult. Yeah, if you’re going to share your food, it will have to be on you to set explicit limits, because this is a person who will not set them appropriately on their own.

@kistaro I'm pretty sure that is what is going on. They come from a background of not reliability always having food.

I'll probably have to do that going forward.
