Up late due to caffeine misadventures, so I'm checking out Barry, the Bill Hader comedy about a hit man who finds his true calling as an actor.

It's real good on its own. But a scene in Episode Four is making me really want to see a series that's just classic dialogues from other TV and film, acted perfectly competently, but with all-wrong emotions and personalities.

John Wayne from The Searchers, as a smoky Weimar cabaret girl. Citizen Kane, surfer boi. Willy Loman, a la Conan.
