Today my parents are taking me to Mountaineer Casino, in the WV panhandle. A few of you might remember me posting on LJ ages ago about how damn depressing this place is. It's dreadful, full of silent glum retirees in the worst states of empty compulsion. It's Vegas drained of all color & glamour. My usual habit is to pocket the money my folks give me to gamble with, and bring a good book.
This seems like a real good time & place to break down and finally read Blood Meridian. ^__^

@kistaro We... we don't want that, for a whole host of reasons I will not go into in the brief time before I am dragged away to this place, not the least of which being that my stepdad (goodnaturedly) cheats. :D

@zebratron2084 admittedly, you can cheat at Terraforming Mars by sneezing at the table because it matters where your five dozen little plastic cubes are, so that might be a good call.

@zebratron2084 can you use the money to buy a real game, like Terraforming Mars or Race for the Galaxy, and teach your parents to play that?
(I played Terraforming Mars with my parents when they visited a few months ago, it took five hours to get through the first game, I lost to my mother, it was genuinely awesome)
