Woke up in a little fugue where I became angry about politics, wishing the usual suspects to be dragged from their places of power and well... I don't want to attract the attention of the Secret Service.
But now I feel ok? Feelings are weird.

@chimerror Based on my own attempts to grapple with this stuff-- and yeah, it's been rough *hug*-- here's what I'd recommend: read history and lots of it. I've been reading up on some of the (other?) authoritarian leaders in history, and while King Stubby Orange's resemblance to them is indeed terrifying... his resemblance to their competence and efficacy isn't. :) I've come to see authoritarianism as a disease that comes in cycles, and we just gotta defeat another bout...

@chimerror (Of course, all "slightly less virulent" really boils down to is "a somewhat smaller number of people is really hardcore suffering"... and obviously that ain't good enough. :( I don't want to diminish the all-around awfulness of this nor the legitimacy of good folks being worried about this. <3 )
