music, silliness

Dammit, I used to have a list of songs that worked as Comedy Background Music for any given Youtube video.

Obviously, "Yakkity Sax" was one. (youtube.com/watch?v=tNBL5OMeun) As well as my personal weapon of choice, "Bond Street" (youtube.com/watch?v=S3Vm2KoPsQ). But I had DOZENS of these.

And then we get into the classics, like "Entry of the Gladiators" (youtube.com/watch?v=HqIY3NfoYv) and the "Saber Dance" (youtube.com/watch?v=gqg3l3r_DR).

And Raymond Scott is a category of his own. (youtube.com/watch?v=IniM_SafwY) (youtube.com/watch?v=JNM0pgh4Ci)

And "French" should be its own category. (youtube.com/watch?v=Shs2H9u6wa)

Anyone care to help me reconstruct the rest of this? Goofy hijinx music. Pony up.

@zebratron2084 Have you tried the Tornadoes past 'Telstar'? eg, Pop Art Goes Mozart: youtube.com/watch?v=Zfdpr5-hXe

But I'm an easy touch for that Joe Meek sound.

Any given Meco cover would probably do, too, like youtube.com/watch?v=uJ3kV3Icm2 or youtube.com/watch?v=b8ZJUAAkdy

@Austin_Dern Ooh, thank you! That Meco cover art is STYLE GOALS. And that reminds me I should probably throw in Popcorn, too.

Favorite version by far: youtube.com/watch?v=KfNEeXkAZ4

@zebratron2084 Despite the jovial tone and happiness inducing levity of "Bond Street", can I be at least mildly irked that the YouTube comments are a cavalcade of Family Guy references?

*Bristles with irritation*

re: music, silliness

@Phorm Yes. Yes you can. It really annoys me that Stewie's "Sexy Dance Parties" were my introduction to it—almost as much as it annoys me that it's not even *on* most soundtracks to Casino Royale, and is replaced with a much inferior song.

But this kinda makes up for it. Bacharach is Bacharach! youtube.com/watch?v=Rl8w_A-e_h
