Sorry, I just learned NCIS had an episode where a plot point was a video game's killscreen and since I think NCIS is the one where they tried to overcome a hacker by having two people type on the same keyboard I trust the killscreen story was the funniest thing humans have ever done, beating out the previous funniest thing humans have ever done, "Every single time on the Simpsons when someone attempts to use a false name".

@Austin_Dern Don't quote me on this, but I've seen it insinuated that, FWIW, the writers knew damn well that they were writing nonsense... and were in fact in an active competition with one or more of the other detective shows to see who could pass the worst technobabble off on their execs and audiences. I choose to believe this is all true. :D

@zebratron2084 I know that's what I would do if I were writing this show. But then I'm always putting in preposterous details in my anecdotes in real life, staggering friends who somehow think it's plausible that there would in fact be 283 people in line ahead of me at the record store, or something like that.
