re: Guardian Opinion Piece: "Why Radiohead are the Blackest white band of our times"
@mawr I don't have time to read the article right now, sadly. But just knowing it exists fills me with a deep desire to find an alternate universe where "Pyramid Song" was originally written and performed by, say, Sun Ra.
Or as a collab with an unusually long-lived Miles Davis. That part right after the first break where it starts turning into dark jazz anyhow.
I can _almost_ hear it in my own head and I wish I could share it.

That was just a segment from a paragraph I'd just finished reading (still working my way through it but wanted to share before the ADHD pulls me into other tasks and I forget XD)

@mawr Oh yeah, this looks very much in my lane, and I suspected it was gonna be about the jazz angle. Thanks so much for sharing, mawr!

You might want to give this one a read when you have time!
"There are abundant think pieces and academic theses on Radiohead’s fluent conversations with jazz: the band’s guitarist Jonny Greenwood has cited Miles Davis’s fusion classic Bitches Brew as an important blueprint for OK Computer, and Mingus has had a continuing impact on their work, for instance on Pyramid Song from 2001’s Amnesiac."
