while I listened to it last night, Mouth Dreams better hit me today, and Ribs is my favorite
I love that even though they're a collection of shitposts in song form, the Mouth series is very much album-oriented.
This is not just a catchy viral single, the entire album must be experienced as a whole.

@chimerror I've never quite bonded with Neil's own work, no disdain or objective judgement implied -- but GOD DAMN have you reminded me how much I miss concept albums, or just the full album as a standar metric entertainment unit in general...
@zebratron2084 Yeah, digitally available music really pushed things to the single. And given how much work it takes to make one song let alone an album of songs, that is what of course I'd expect.
And you can wrap it up in some type of tiny package that is favored by capitalism, to boot.
