things have been quiet today, out of spoons and only started my "day" job an hour ago
kittens are doing fine, the enormity of the fact they'll probably be in my room until like March or April is still slowly hitting me
sugarfoot you better know what the fuck you're doing because i sure don't. the urge to helicopter-parent and strain at every possible thing i could be doing to endanger them is already hitting me.
just breathe, large cat, it'll be okay.

Remember to close the sock drawer.
@001zlnv @JulieSqveakaroo Luckily they are in my studio, which is really minimal in terms of furniture. Not much to clean up and not many places they can get in trouble, though thank you for reminding me that the gap under the closet door is another place @anthracite and I need to kitten-proof!
@JulieSqveakaroo We can. We're in NO HURRY. At least give us a few weeks to frantically google "how the hell do i care for these freaking cats" XD
See, my personal experience with kittens is of suddenly having one at 2 in the morning when I was younger because my sister (who the kitten was gotten for) wanted to sleep...
The kitten had not been weened fully, and was absolutely in need of constant attention and touch, so it instantly became my kitty, and I adored him, but I got very little sleep for the first few nights because when I'd go to sleep he would immediately climb up on my chest and continue to lick my nose or chin for hours, with a few nursing nips because, again, not fully weened.
Mickey was a very good cat.
My sister, to her credit, realized that she needs dogs, not cats, and currently has three wonderful border collies.
Kittens are trouble, but they are OMFG ADORABLE trouble!!
@zebratron2084 I can't wait until they are old enough to start exploring!!
