Possibly mildly unsettling arcade footage

"Since 2007, the War of Six Planets, man has lived in peace. Yet over the centuries, there arose a certain restlessness with this quiet tranquility. So man began to explore the limits of his universe, and it was out there, beyond the black holes, near the absolute edge of the possible, that the Cube was found."

"Oh yes, we've all played the Cube from the outside, that was easy. But how to play it from the inside? Inside, things aren't so simple. Shifting walls pound at your concentration. Every corridor leads to the unexpected, to a different brand of DOOM. Your life depends on lightning reflexes, but your goal is a treasure few have attained: The Treasure of Mytha."

@Phorm There's never anything unsettling about Ken Nordine. That is my #1 favorite human voice narrating that. <3

@zebratron2084

Ken managed to make a rudimentary laserdisc game sound like an epic and otherworldly adventure. Absolutely fantastic.

@Phorm Yeah, the game he's describing sounds AMAZING, it's just clearly not Cube Quest. :>

But yeah, I really have a soft spot in my heart for Ken Nordine. Used to listen to his Word Jazz stuff on NPR. And he did one of the few songs that can 100% consistently make me cry, in part because it always reminds me of @anthracite...
