@Owlor That also looks really interesting! I'd love to look at how such an old and established and *particular* fandom has looked at issues like this!
And yeah, my basic stance is that it's a really fun and healthy intellectual exercise with zero actual ANSWERS behind it -- but looking for non-existent answers on purpose is basically one of my favorite things. :)

@Owlor @zebratron2084 My crowning glory in the Sherlockian Game is explaining one of the many, many odd things in Star Trek VI in a way that actually tightens up the action and makes the participants seem less daft.

@Austin_Dern @Owlor Okay, my new S-Rank goal for Parallax is that it's actively Sherlock-Game-resistant by the end. XD <3

@zebratron2084 @Owlor I hope you walk a path with more joy than tears.

@Austin_Dern @Owlor There's this tiger emotion that's kind of a "happy rage" that I suspect will be the result. :>

@zebratron2084 The sherlock holmes fandom is such a rabbit hole, i mean, it's existed since the victorian era, so they've certainly had time to cook up a lot of shenanigans.
A useful search term if you wanna know more is "Sherlockian game", it is basically exactly what you describe with Captain Crunch, taking anamolous details or plot holes and attempting to explain it away.
