I'm talking about some of my neighbors with a friend on Discord, and a cultural querry occured.

Do they have lawns in India?

I'm not sure what parts of the world have lawn culture. I know we have it in Canada and the U.S. but where else? Do they do it in the UK? In Australia?

India was somehow sort of a colony, right? Now that I think of it, how did that even happen?

Great now I'm curious about Indian history. Thanks, physical concept of time.

@relee My first hunch based on what I've seen at my day job (geography researcher for HERE Technologies) was no, since India is *so* densely populated and when I do India tasks I usually just see endless tightly-packed housing without room for front yards. And it looks like that hunch might be true? quora.com/Do-they-have-lawn-mo

@zebratron2084 Yeah I figured that might be the case. I don't know much about India as a whole, so I don't know if there are non-city places where there's more elbow room, or if it's all urban everywhere and all tightly packed, or what.
