Had a rousing little punch-up with some """ironic""" anti-semites on Birdsite and I'm feeling a bit better.
They're just so good at reminding me that no matter how much I feel like I've mismanaged my life recently, there are a hell of a lot of people out there who just meandered down the wrong path completely.
Seriously, I'm here bitching because I'm not in a polycule and not getting indulged in elaborate kink on a weekly basis-- anymore! These people don't even get HUGGED. Like, ever.
Can you just fucking imagine that? First, you absorb an ideology that closes you off from a major human need. Then you double down by becoming so pugnacious and unpleasant that nobody would *want* to get close to you. And you make a CULTURE out of that, and get all your social contact from people like you.
I love snark, but. I can't imagine that being the biggest semblance of intimacy in my life-- and even if they get laid occasionally, I can't imagine these people being truly intimate at ALL.
