I'm also intrigued by one theme of the above reading: it contains a miniature Fool's Journey, especially given more or less the same character (IIRC) appears on Fool, Hermit, and Universe. But it starts at the END, and proceeds around the loop.
I choose to take that as "you have started a New Game Plus." This game starts with me being knocked back from a position of complacent self-confidence in a social world I helped create, to one of embarrassment and humility. But that's NOT a bad start.
Especially not with all those radiant influences there like the Sun and Moon. I've gained a bit of cynicism about friendship in general, hence that inconstant and inscrutable Moon in there, but the Sun of abundant warm social connections is still there. I CAN leave my little monastic cave and have a walk in the sun this time around. But the High Priest is perfectly content without you as well, and has so much to do to put that cave in order, even if he might go a bit mad(der) in the process...
