Something tells me I'm gonna be spending a lot of time in the next two weeks looking for my old 20th Century Russia textbooks to explain why, in point of fact, communism is not some good shit. :|
Socialism is some good shit. At the VERY least, communism needs to be run through a good-quality filter that removes particles of Stalinist and Leninist contaminants.

@mawr I'll take it over what I read about in class, thanks. I happen to like all the following: washing machines, rock music, non-Lysenkoist evolutionary theory, non-state-administered restaurants, not having to borrow supplies from the office next door just to meet deadlines, and especially, not going to Siberia because I wrote something that was faintly critical of communism.
Sorry, but this is a really really hot-button topic for me, mawr.
