Mired a bit in self-inflicted guilt, impostor syndrome. and total social-parser failure again. On the other hand, I'm responding to it pretty healthily, just throwing myself into mucking out the apartment for Peg's return. Aside from fretting about things I'd probably just break worse if I touched, I'm good.
Not particularly bothered by being alone, and frankly kinda glad for the opportunity to excavate six years' worth of @anthracite's expired honey. XD

If you do feel the urge to help, a good friendly low-controversy intellectual discussion to chew on, preferably on a non-hot-button topic as unrelated to my interpersonal relations as possible, would be pretty awesome. But this is Masto, and *my* friends, so if I miss one I'm sure another one is scheduled in ten minutes. <3

@hummingrain At the fear of coming off as a complete radical, I don't think a lot of meaningful technological progress could be made on this topic until a steamroller and maybe some high explosives are taken to our intellectual property regime. :) But Stallman is a purist and I don't like purists. I mean, I'm on Windows 10. But I think as users, consumers, and employees, we should resist anything contributing to the relentless optimization of hard-/software for profit over efficiency.

@hummingrain To borrow a phrase... "you're soaking in it." :) This is one of the reasons I'm so proud of @anthracite for running her own instance. I'm hoping Masto sets a really good precedent for how to undercut and substitute corporate-run IT services with community-run alternatives...

@zebratron2084 (Also, never fear coming off as a complete radical. The world could use more radicals. Esp radicals that are as inclusive, kind, and thoughtful as you. ^^)

@zebratron2084 100% agree on the need for a steamroller. If we keep siloing everything due to IP we're fucked as far as building anything significant. We gotta collaborate, yeah?
Any suggestions for how to resist?
