Are people in America really that easily offended by bad language? 🤔
@AdalwinAmillion people get offended over really trivial things all the time
it's why it's so frustrating to me when i bring up issues with people talking racist or otherwise they're just like "don't be so offended" or something like that because people do tend to be offended way too easily when it doesn't matter >_<

@vahnj well, do you mean triggering in a sense of emotional things, for people with traumas, or tourette or whatever, or do you mean things that do not fit into their world view?

but a lot of folks like to conflate it with "offended" and make fun of it bc people get offended all the time

triggering people with emotional trauma, however, is not cool.

there are some words that are legit triggering for folks so it's why i ask people to cw certain things
but in general, americans are touchy
