Capitalism has done an amazing job of convincing us that "freedom and equality" is both parents working full time to pay for childcare and house-care instead of each parent working half time and splitting the other work equitably.

And moreover, if you think that them being gone would be a detriment to the trans community, you're wrong. I think a very important point this video makes is towards the end, and it's something I often see people on "our side" trying to do: the idea that 'we' should be trying to save these misguided people from themselves.

Yes, deradicalizing can work, but only in the right situation, at the right time, and generally only if you already know the person. It doesn't work consistently enough and isn't impactful enough in the grand scheme of things to be worth it.

Since it is hard to find articles that are positive and not ableist about how autistic brains work, I am going to make a small thread about the main things that we know at the moment. I hope this helps any autistic people who are curious about themselves. I am not an expert, this is just what I learned from my neuroscience course. I will first explain some basics of neuroscience, for people who aren't familiar with biology, so you don't have to have any prerequisite knowledge to understand any of this :) If I accidentally leave some of the basics out, feel free to ask me to clarify. I don't know everything but I'll try my best to help :)
