@phessler yeah joining an instance does feel like an investment/cost compared to just joining irc channels. Perhaps when they fix the follow export import tools it will be easier.

mastodon is like one of the good episodes of black mirror (sidebar: i have never watched black mirror) because lots of tech anxiety is about people isolating from one another with tech but mastodon has already brought me together with so so so many awesome people in such a short time that i would never have met otherwise
@phessler like mastodon.social feels alot more like the antechamber or main hallway leading to all these little rooms each with their own theme, flavor and party inside. So i have one account in the antechamber and one in a room i like and considering visiting more rooms in future.
What ild love is like a wiki that lists the instances and has data like the instance description, what type of people are there, how many people in it and how it federates.
Is it just me or is mastodon and its instances more like irc than twitter?
each instance kind of feels like different irc channels and the open access of instance and federal timelines feels more like an irc feed instead of a the closed boxes of who you follow like twitter.
@Nire @TransEthics so far my research has a list of 4 people who might do it. There is also the fact that many surgeons wont do it for non-cancer or injury reasons.
@Nire @TransEthics my country is a huge amount of land but lots of near empty space between cities (Australia) we also have relatively few surgeons who do it. Like the one im considering is best known grs doctor in oz (so if i decided to get srs later who ild probably see) or the person in my city who charges double and is close to retirement.

@TransEthics actually ive a question how was recovery (mind you i nearly cry at 1 hour 30min into my 2 hour electro appointments) because im considering going interstate for the operation which is about 2-3 hours by air or 9+ by car. Would need to know how many days i need to chill before flying back home.
Pretty much me at 10 months, though apart of me wants to dress more femme and do dresses and shit but i got too much dysphoria currently for that.

My endo primarily prescribes spiro to start with unless preexisting conditions but can also prescribe cypro or bicutamide. i chose to switch to cypro at 6 months because spiro was making my drink litres of water and still be dyhydrated pissing it all out and was causing dizziness due to low blood pressure
