Sometimes I get really ignorant comments about my MPD, like "You can't possibly have MPD you are way too functional!" which is absolutely bizarre to me. It's, entirely possible to have a functional MPD system with very little missing time.
I also love the idea that I'm "faking" MPD because I use "tumblr terms" like "fronting" or "headspace" or "alters". Uhhhhhh, hate to break it to the people accusing me of that but, those aren't Tumblr terms.
The idea of "faking" multiplicity in general is ridiculous and dumb. If someone says they have multiple people in their head, /it's because it's really obvious to them/. It's not something someone can get "confused" about.
It's also worth stating, as always, /what would I gain from faking an incredibly stigmatized and misunderstood condition/? What could I /possibly/ gain from that, what could anyone gain from that?
"why yes im admitting to having a condition that most people are familiar with from movies like Split, where the character with MPD is portrayed as a /literal monster/ because I want SJW Tumblr Points" <------It sounds ridiculous because it is.
In Summary: Rando: "Did you know you're FAKING MPD?" Me: "Hey other personality did you know we're faking MPD?" Other personality: "Know I didn't, I should go and inform the rest of the system."
