What would be the chances that after having the healing breakthrough I've been working for in therapy ever since I found Postfurry a year and a half ago and my life turned upside down I would randomly bump into none other than @anthracite
mental health, ableism
In Summary:
Rando: "Did you know you're FAKING MPD?"
Me: "Hey other personality did you know we're faking MPD?"
Other personality: "Know I didn't, I should go and inform the rest of the system."
mental health, ableism
"why yes im admitting to having a condition that most people are familiar with from movies like Split, where the character with MPD is portrayed as a /literal monster/ because I want SJW Tumblr Points" <------It sounds ridiculous because it is.
mental health, ableism
It's also worth stating, as always, /what would I gain from faking an incredibly stigmatized and misunderstood condition/? What could I /possibly/ gain from that, what could anyone gain from that?
mental health, ableism
But yeah. Co-consciousness is a thing. I don't get why that's so hard to understand lol
mental health, ableism
The idea of "faking" multiplicity in general is ridiculous and dumb. If someone says they have multiple people in their head, /it's because it's really obvious to them/. It's not something someone can get "confused" about.
mental health, ableism
I also love the idea that I'm "faking" MPD because I use "tumblr terms" like "fronting" or "headspace" or "alters". Uhhhhhh, hate to break it to the people accusing me of that but, those aren't Tumblr terms.
And overcoming the emotional whiplash of that is honestly my biggest challenge at the moment.
it's actually been a pretty hard week the last week because well. I never expected to live long enough to graduate. I never expected to overcome all the stuff I've had to overcome just to get to this point.
