Approaching things with balance does not guarantee results, any more than you would going to an extreme to achieve it. If it involves the free will of others and getting people to communicate back? Good luck bc free will is a mofo.

I dont expect people to understand this. I cant feign any surprise when people assume my detachment is a bad thing, or they think that means Im just bottling stuff up. Nope... I just aint trying to waste my energy.

@Ironraptor Right...but in what I am talking about its more general than that. I wasnt talking about conflicts and communicating within conflicts. I was just talking about communication in general. To me, there is a difference between persistance of getting your word across (because hey, sometimes people are busy or your email goes into spam).....

@Catwoman69y2k
There's also having to contend with the fact the brain can only process so much at a time, at least mine does.

@Ironraptor ....... and just outright screaming and metaphorically standing in someone's path so that they are forced to pay you mind. Im really against the latter one because my mom used nagging to get people to do things she wanted, and I just dont like the idea me doing that too.

@Ironraptor (3/3) ...To have that balance, it does require detachment from the outcome. I dont think my gf understood that when I tried to explain that to her this morning, and I know others have made different conclusions about the detachment that they see from me.
