I fucked up my IEMs by cleaning them with alcohol :(
It softened the glue that held the mesh inside the soundy thingamajig and made them sound funny so I removed the mesh altogether.
I thought was just for earwax not to go into them... turns out it's actually filtering some of the highs so they aren't as sharp and spiky.
I could use these with a flat eq but now I have to tinker with it ![]()

- blocks instead of bytes, and then in one-byte increments, lol.
'splains this miserable write speed.
I JUST found out how to use dd. Holy shit.
I did file surgery to check if K3B's CD rips are as accurate as ExactAudioCopy's. At least with brand-new CDs, they're identical aside from being offset by 24 bytes (due to my DVD drive?).
It really is magical how files are just numbers.
I mean, I KNOW they are, but actually manipulating them and effectively "splicing" them manually is so nuts.
And I of course learned the right way to do it by chucking the Wrong Parameters to dd so I was working in -
Ever seen a neofetch (https://www.cyberciti.biz/howto/neofetch-awesome-system-info-bash-script-for-linux-unix-macos/) on REAL HARDWARE? Thanks https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/12o5937/ever_seen_a_neofetch_on_real_hardware/
I'm gonna try and not shut down my computer for a week and just suspend it every night. It IS very convenient just to open it up and continue where you left off.
I've met people who have not ONCE turned off their laptop since they bought it new.
That's honestly fascinating!
I want to see how long of an uptime I can get and maybe I'll become a suspender.
I just hope there's nothing on my PC that pukes RAM that ruins this experiment heh.
