Getting back into Magic: the Gathering just before starting my Masters was not the best idea. And not because of the game itself, but because of the 20 years of lore (I stopped playing around '98-'99) that I now want to voraciously consume.

Like, I did not know that Shandalar (from the MicroProse game) was canon and had impact in the ongoing story!

Holiday today. Can't veg out, tho. I need to study.

I've heard people say "I can't write". What they usually mean is that they don't feel like they can string together a complete story.
I count myself in that group. You know what helps? Forgetting about trying to write a novella and instead just writing the things you think of as bullet points.
Sure, it won't look pretty, but in the end you'll have written your ideas down. Plus, you can use them to further develop what you wrote down into a story! Try it!

I was willing to accept Vraska and Jace becoming romantically involved, but I lost it when I learned that LILIANA was also pining for him.
This is Jace we're talking about. I knew nothing about him and the second I saw him I was "I want stuff that nerd in his locker."

Taking a break from studying to have lunch and figure out how to build a wine fraud scheme where I can blame an employee for it.
It's for a character backstory, I swear!
