I may be being petty here, but I sure wish that Hypnovisor/RGCs weren't the exclusive property of the Korps. They are fun and can be extremely hot - particularly when paired with (Or the CAUSE of) dramatic physical changes.

It'd be a real treat to play around with and commission some of that stuff, but it's basically their domain alone.

@Phorm For example try on this full face veil, I promise the LED beads are totally just decorative..

Oh, neat! I will try this on immediately and without any thought whatsoever of what it might do! I LOVE veils!

And hey, there's all kinds of helmet visors, VR headgear, and clear plastic headwear that are non-pink colors. ^^

Also, it's not exclusively their domain. In 80s cyberpunk stuff, Moddies and Doddies included personality-altering chipware that could be slotted into anyone's jacks that would alter/overwrite their speech patterns, clothing choices, choices overall, and behaviours.

Plenty of other routes to go through!

I mean, you're absolutely right about that - But they've kind of captured that space in terms of association, regardless of it being an enduring trope? If that makes sense?

But again, you're absolutely right.
