I still sometimes fire up the ol' City of Heroes/Villains character builder program for old time's sake. I don't even play on any of the fan attempts at resurrecting the game, I just like the way the systems worked in that game.

@LexYeen My spouse is amazing at coming up with builds to make any character concept not just viable but extremely effective. Even traditionally weak combos can be pushed to surprising places... especially when one has the cash to completely outfit a character with full IO sets.
Of course, we're still limited by the costume creator. Horsey stuff when? *sigh* I wanna be a magical unicorn who mows down fascists with horn lasers. *nods*
@ElectricKeet I still fondly remember a guildmate who could tank as *any* archetype and build you care to name. The shit we managed to pull off with my Trick Arrow/Archery defender when I teamed with her, regardless of her character... It was the kind of thing that shoulda inspired one-off comic books, or at least comic strips.
