Something that's going to stick with me is how Disney execs was fine with telling a story about the rights of outsiders in society right up to the point where it became clear that the characters are acually queer, not just "geeks", then suddenly it was no longer considered apropriate for the Disney brand.

I'd just finished binging the whole thing when I found out it'd been cancelled. Not the most painful sting of the year, but I'm still feeling it for sure. I didn't even get the chance to come up with an over-complicated OC for it!
