Don’t let people tell you “there are always a few bad apples”. That’s not how the saying goes. It’s actually “a few bad apples spoil the bushel” - in other words, if there are a few bad apples, that’s cause to believe the rot has spread and it’s time to throw the whole thing out.

But if you want to imply "the bad ones are few and far between and can be easily segregated from the good ones", maybe don't use a metaphor that means "the bad ones inherently and inevitably corrupt the good ones and you can't always tell whether they have yet, so better safe than sorry". :)
