We've been curious about this for a very long time and never seen a good answer:
Why do some people capitalize every word they type? We see it _all the time_ and I'm wondering if it's a case of people not familiar with the Latin alphabet (or just alphabetic writing in general) misunderstanding some rule?
If anyone has any idea please do reply to this, I'd really like to know
@Felthry im a native speaker and i overcapitalize definitely. for like "This word is important it needs to be capitalized" even if thats not true grammar wise
@daylight No no, I understand that, but I'm talking about people who type like this, capitalizing every single word regardless of importance or anything: (seen on electronics.stackexchange.com)
@daylight The guess about it being a second-language thing is because we almost always see this in conjunction with other hints that english isn't the person's first language; subject-verb agreement errors, non-idiomatic phrasings, etc
@Felthry @daylight I never actually asked
I really only saw it on Facebook a couple times, and that's not a site I use to any real extent
