I really do think that clock town day 3 is a masterpiece of capturing a very (and I do mean very) specific emotion in music
Beyond just giving a feeling of unease or franticness it very clearly and in no uncertain terms lays out that specific kind of denial where something is wrong and everyone is simultaneously trying to escape the wrong thing and trying to pretend it doesn't exist and nothing is actually wrong at all, everything's fine here

just a /little/ too fast, and a little too bright over the dark harmonies ... yeah, this is a very evocative piece of musical score
@packbat it's even better if you play through the game or at least play days 1 and 2 first to really get the references
it's this level of specificity that really impresses me--it's not hard, if you know much music theory or even if you're just musically inclined, to write music that sounds "anxious" or "frantic" or "happy", but narrowing in on something as specific as this is no small feat
