this is very similar to how I've been trying to define music and I will have to look up Luciano Berio now - thank you!
@packbat In the context of the video, 12tone disagrees with the specifics and says "music is anything that you experience musically", because in their opinion there doesn't have to be intent (consider the rhythmic sound of a washing machine, for example, giving a beat that you find yourself dancing to)

@Felthry what I've been leaning towards is very similar: music is that which we find rewarding to interpret through the tools we have developed to understand music. It is, in essence, any molecule that attaches to our music receptors.
