random thought: are there "american food" restaurants outside the US? What would they sell, burgers and hotdogs and barbecue?
@Felthry there's definitely a few american style diners around; there was one off a major road near where i used to live, and a 50s style milkshake place last time i was at disneyland paris (no idea if it's still there)
@Felthry the disneyland paris one is still there (https://www.disneylandparis.com/en-gb/dining/disney-village/annettes-diner/), and the menu is linked on that page
I once saw a restaurant in London called Tennessee Pancake House. The door handle was in the shape of a banjo.
Barbecue is possibly the only actually interesting uniquely American food that's more widespread than cajun cuisine
